Project History
One King is likely Harry’s favourite building (….so far).
Given the extraordinary location at the corner of King and Yonge St., (now the centre of Toronto’s financial and entertainment districts), it says a lot that Stinson had the vision to acquire a 29 foot wide property at 5 King West, on which he designed and constructed a 51 storey tower, combining it with a largely vacant former bank at 1 King West, to create a 574-unit luxury condo hotel, as well as setting up an independent hotel management group that has consistently generated occupancy levels well over 80% since opening in 2005.
In 2007, 1 King West was publicly voted as the most admired building in Toronto. The building is directly connected to the city’s underground PATH network and has a subway station literally in the basement.
